, Sales department, we are looking for Commercial Manager II York, PA Commercial Manager II (York, PA) Voith Hydro Inc.
is seeking a Commercial Manager II, (York, PA) to review all construction contracts and employment agreements.
Identify and assess risks during the bid stage prior to a binding offer.
Advise the organization with suitable actions that can be implemented to minimize risks.
Assist the Project Team for all commercial topics by developing strategies and providing recommendations to limit, restrict and (or) transfer company risk exposure as well as potential financial and business impact arising from the customer/supplier contractual conditions.
Support the project team in identification and preparation of claims.
Develop claim and negotiation strategy based on profound contract knowledge and liaison with internal and external counsel.
Handle commercial and contractual impacts resulting from time, quality, technical or process related problems on the project.
Support the Procurement team in the preparation of terms and conditions.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on claim management and contractual risk mitigation strategies.
Handel issuance and maintenance of required contractual securities (bonds, letters of credit, parent company guarantee) and insurance policies related to the contracts.
Up to 15% domestic travel and 5% international travel required.
Local telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week.
Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Science, Construction Management or related field and 5 years of experience in contract and risk management, or construction claims litigation.
Must have the following experience: Assessing contract risks and opportunities; Contractual claims and negotiation practices in the manufacturing or construction industry; Using Access or other Claims/Documents/Litigation database; Conducting Contract negotiation; and Claim Management in manufacturing or construction industry.
