We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to support our Paladin Integrated Management (PIM) team.
This open Senior Contracts Administrator position will support contracting activities for the M109A7 Self Propelled Howitzer (SPH) and M992A3 Carrier, Ammunition, Tracked (CAT) vehicles.
This multi-billion dollar program is essential to the United States Army.

As a Senior Contract Administrator you will: Maintain and enhance your working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement process, the BAE Systems Contracts function, and relevant Company policies and procedures, FAR/DFARS, commercial contracting methods and other government regulations.
Support assigned proposal activities including; analyzing solicitations and preparing summaries based on the analysis, participating in all proposal team meetings; preparing terms, conditions and assumptions for the proposal; reviewing technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency while considering financial and business risks; and preparing proposal documents for internal bid approval review and submittal to the Customer.
Review cost and price proposals as assigned to ensure they are prepared and submitted in strict accordance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual provisions and Company policy.
Research contract language, make recommendations and seek guidance on complex terms and conditions from higher level Contract Administrators or Contracts Manager.
Coordinate with other Company functions as required ensuring that appropriate reviews are scheduled and conducted, and required review and approval signatures are obtained before execution of contractual documents.
Assist upper level Contract Administrators in negotiations and other activities such as fact-finding and audits, required to obtain contracts or orders, and auxiliary agreements (e.
g.
Proprietary Information Agreements and Teaming Agreements).
Negotiate routine contracts and changes commensurate with experience and demonstrated competence under the specific guidance of the higher level Contract Administrator or Contracts Manager.
Act as the primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts.
Draft, prepare, and execute certain internal and external correspondence on contractual/program matters, under review by upper level Contract Administrators or Contract Managers, commensurate with experience and demonstrated competence.
Administer all aspects of assigned contract processing including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipts and delivery schedules, legal requirements and other commitments.
Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures.
Serve as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts.
Participate in final stages of assigned contract by verifying completion of all commitments, and performing assigned activities associated with Contract Closeout.
Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.
Establish and manage negotiation strategies and financial requirements.
Perform business risk assessments and recommend mitigation plans.
This position is on a 9/80 schedule, where you will have every other Friday off.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree and 4+ years relevant experience required Major defense article acquisition and production contracting experience Proven business negotiator while exercising sound business judgement with experience engaging at high organizational levels or with persons of influence both internally and externally.
Highly developed critical thinking and communication skills with ability to influence and shape favorable business outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, team-building and leadership skills, with the ability to perform in a complex cross-functional business environment.
Excellent writing skills is a must, with the ability to write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and policies/procedures.
Ability to effect and manage change (both organizational and contractual).
Cost type and Fixed Price Contract experience Functional knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations Experience with complex contracts and proposal preparation and execution Ability to interact professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, solicitations/RFPs, or governmental regulations.
Strong business acumen and experienced in risk management.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills 2 years Cost Type and/or Fixed Price Contract experience Experience in vehicle manufacturing Certification as CFCM or CPCM (NCMA) or CCM (IACCM) desirable Master’s Degree/MBA/JD a plus Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
