Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team.
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of employees during assigned shifts
- Ensure smooth operation of all areas including cash handling, food production, and customer service
- Monitor food preparation to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to achieve sales targets and meet financial goals
- Implement strategies to improve overall efficiency and productivity
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and presentation
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper sanitation guidelines
- Proven track record in team management and leadership
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
