As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced MATERIALS SUPERVISOR - 1st Shift
Our 1st shift schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6:00am - 5:30pm, with daily and weekend overtime as needed.
Our Materials Supervisors are responsible to supervise people and processes of the warehouse and ensure accurate and efficient movement of parts to our customer.
Supervise daily activities of the materials department's clerks and cycle counters.
Plans, directs and coordinates all inbound, outbound movement of material within the facility.
Conducts dialogue with the materials manager on operational issues and uses continuous improvement methods to create value for the customer, both internal and external.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist with training
Monitor material movement Monitors and coordinates picking, staging, auditing, and loading of orders
Manage and organize growth/ development of team members
Plans, assigns, and directs labor
Communicates operation concerns, and achievements at the start of every shift
and physical inventory reconciliation
Monitors, and evaluates the performance of team members.
Performs Layered Process Audits each day and physical inventory reconciliation
Manages routing issues and stock placement
Manages checking in and receiving of inbound material
Approval and monitoring of time sheets
Problem solving that drives company’s “continuous improvement” process and policies.
Enforces safety policies and procedures
Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the leadership group
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Maintain and implement organization (6S) and visual management at materials areas
