Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor Amazing Benefits! About the job RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor.
This role will sit in our York, PA Plant.
The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of equipment and facilities.
This role involves planning, scheduling, and managing maintenance tasks, as well as leading a team of Maintenance Planners and Schedulers.
The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor plays a critical role in optimizing maintenance processes, reducing downtime, and ensuring the reliability of assets.
This role will align best planning and scheduling practice across the campus.
MPSS will ensure all work instructions are standardized and documented in SAP for future references.
This role will promote safe work practices and champion standard work procedures.
MPSS will coordinate the efforts of Maintenance and Engineering during Outages, Shutdowns and Turnarounds Tasks will include: Ensure orders are planned and scheduled by systematic SAP priority.
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules for equipment and facilities to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency, criticality, and available resources.
Conduct regular reviews of maintenance schedules to adjust priorities and resource allocations as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of equipment and asset information, including maintenance history and documentation.
Manage spare parts and inventory to ensure timely availability for maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to gather information on equipment status, upcoming projects, and maintenance requirements.
Collaborate with reliability engineers to implement reliability-centered maintenance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Liaise with external service providers or vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
Ensure effective Planning and Scheduling practices are followed.
Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and key performance indicators.
Maintain comprehensive documentation related to maintenance processes and procedures.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance planners and technicians.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Monitor performance and ensure work is completed on time and to quality standards.
About you: 2-3 year in maintenance planning and supervision, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety standards, and relevant regulations 5-8 years served in a maintenance technician role, Electrical/Mechanical Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.
g.
, Engineering, Maintenance Management) or equivalent work experience Master in a technical discipline Electrical / Mechanical MS-Office outlook, excel, word, powerpoint SAP PM RE training (RE-theory, FMEA, RCM, SPC, RCA, FTA, Weibull etc.
