As a Manager, Threat Model Assessor, you will have extensive experience in the security architecture space, including threat modeling, security design, and the ability to think strategically about security threats.
The individual in this role will: Be responsible for understanding and assessing and writing threats for various critical initiatives Understand and assess current security threats and potential risks Design and develop solutions and mitigation around threats Develop threat models to identify, analyze, and mitigate security threats Collaborate with other cyber teams to communicate threats and recommendations Provide expert advice and guidance to other teams on security-related matters Possess a deep understanding of security concepts, architectures, and systems, and able to make informed security recommendations About You: You have a desire to work in a fast moving, forward leaning, and modern computing environment You have a passion for securing modern computing platforms You have a strong desire to continually learn new technologies You possess strong conceptual thinking and communication skills You are able to work well under minimal supervision You are a demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including upper management, IT leaders, and technology vendors You maintain calm and clarity of thought under pressure and the ability to maintain confidentiality You have a deep understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to drive results toward those objectives Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification At least 6 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology At least 2 years of experience in threat modeling, security design, or risk assessments At least 2 years of experience performing security architecture reviews Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree One or more professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Experience in Offensive or Defensive Security techniques Experience in a regulated environment At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $197,400 - $225,300 for Manager, Cyber Technical San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $209,200 - $238,700 for Manager, Cyber Technical Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
