Job Title: Director of Residential Classification: Exempt Definition and Basic Function: Oversees all residential programs.
Ensures that all residential programs are in compliance with federal / state / local licensing and regulatory requirements.
Works with the Executive Director of Operations at a strategic level to develop and expand the residential program in keeping with the Mission and Core Values of Jessica & Friends Community.
Embraces and models daily through each interaction the Code of Professional Conduct holding oneself to the highest level of excellence.
Accountability: Chief Executive Officer Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership and Vision In collaboration with the Executive Director of Operations establish well defined, attainable and measurable goals and objectives for the residential program.
In conjunction with the Executive Director of Operations and the Chief Financial Officer work to ensure fiscal stability for the residential program.
Provide leadership, oversight and direction to residential program managers, staff, and volunteers to ensure the continued development and management of a professional and effective residential program.
Cultivate a strong working relationship with the residential program managers and program specialists to ensure open communication to accomplish the established goals and objectives set for the residential program.
Responsible for residential programs 24/7, 365 days of the year to ensure all residential team members are meeting the required responsibilities providing quality services that meet the needs of each individual served.
Operational Leadership & Management Engage in problem solving discussions with collaborative efforts from the Executive Director of Operations, residential managers and program specialists.
Develop a strong residential management team and staff, to assure the highest quality of delivery of services in the residential program.
Provide leadership and supervision to the residential managers and program specialists to ensure their continued personal and professional development.
Facilitate collaboration and strengthen internal communications creating and promoting a positive work environment that supports consistency throughout the residential program.
Perform annual performance reviews for residential managers and program specialists.
Assist in the development of the annual budgets for the residential homes to ensure sound financial controls are in place in order for the residential programs to operate in a manner that supports the needs of the homes.
Ensure that policies and procedures are in place to support efficient day to day operations of the residential program that are in line with the 6400 & 6100 regulations.
Participate in the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), Pennsylvania Advocacy Resources (PAR) and other related meetings at state and county level.
Communicate information from ODP, PAR, and other sources to residential managers and program specialists to keep them informed of updates, changes, revisions to programs and regulations.
Participate in interviews for all residential manager, program specialist and DSP openings.
Act as point person with Individuals’ families maintaining open communications with families, Case Managers, Supports Coordinators and other professionals/agencies when concerns/issues arise.
Act as interim residential manager to ensure smooth operations in the absence of a residential manager.
Screen prospective individuals to ensure the residential home can provide the appropriate care for their needs to ensure that the individual receives quality professional care.
Prepares monthly reports on each residential program in conjunction with residential managers and program specialists for the Executive Director of Operations.
Be readily available 24/7 when emergency situations arise to step in and assist when it is needed.
Program Planning and Development In conjunction with the Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator ensure program excellence through quarterly evaluation and tracking of progress of residential services provided to evaluate quality metrics established and to measure successes.
Ensure quality services by monitoring program function through record reviews and other site documentation.
Visit the residential homes on a monthly basis to assure the homes are maintained to keep individuals safe and healthy and are in agreement with the 6400 regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Generally the work schedule is Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.
m.
- 4:30 p.
m.
; however, flexibility is needed as there is evening and weekend work.
