Kinsley's Steel Division is currently seeking an experienced QC Manager to join our growing team.
SUMMARY
The QC Manager is responsible for effectively managing our Steel Fabrication and Steel Erection Quality Control Programs while being an active QA/QC resource for all team members across the company's operations.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate daily with CWI's & QC inspectors in fabrication steel facilities fabricating Structural Steel (D1.
1/D1.
5)
Address and document non-conformances
Periodically inspect fabricated material to ensure conformance with the shop drawings to spot check our in process/final QA/QC process.
Inspect the dimensional layout and placement of parts
Work with QC inspectors, CWI's, and shop and field employees to provide additional training.
Manage our AISC QA/QC Program
Facilitate and Manage the Annual 3rd Party AISC Audits (Shop & Erection)
Manage our PCI QAQC Program
Develop goals to improve and promote quality.
Work well with production to solve rising issues
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Perform periodic Shop and Field QA/QC Audits of the product and processes
Work with the Project Management Team on specific job related QC items
Communicate QA/QC issues to Management and provide recommendations on process improvements
Coordinate 3rd party Shop & Field inspections
REQUIREMENTS
5 years minimum experience in fabrication Steel & Welding
Ability to read and understand fabrication and construction drawings.
Welding Certification in D1.
1 and/or D1.

Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in inspection of fabricated material.
Knowledge of AISC standards
Knowledge of AWS
Ability to climb ladders and construction stair as needed during field inspections
CWI is not required but preferred
Valid Drivers License
Ability to travel to jobsites and fabrication plants in the Mid-Atlantic/Virginia Region (ability to stay out of town for short 1-2 day periods may be required periodically throughout the year)
