Job Description
Many of the technology projects handled by our information technology division impact the ways SAIF serves our more than 50,000 customers on a minute-to-minute basis.
Our IT team is seeking a project manager to ensure IT infrastructure and operations projects are executed efficiently, with repeatability and accuracy.
Responsible for developing project plans and defining scope, schedule, and budget, our new project manager will oversee projects from their blueprint phase to completion (and sometimes longer to measure success).
You’ll look at projects with a strategic lens to ensure they align with company goals.
You’ll communicate frequently with stakeholders throughout the company — often at the executive level — so strong verbal and written communication are a must.
Project manager duties are diverse.
You’ll work on multiple projects with varying complexity with various teams.
You’ll need a solid understanding of what it takes to usher new technology into an organization, with a focus on infrastructure, operations, IT service management and cloud environments, to be successful.
Your role will include building relationships, helping assign resources and tools based on your research, maintaining schedules, and evaluating success.

Responsibilities Manage one or more, moderate to highly complex IT projects.
Lead assigned projects through implementation utilizing project management best practices.
Assist in the development of project strategies aligned with SAIF business objectives.
Research project areas to ensure an in-depth understanding of the issues and best practices.
Create and execute project plans that establish objectives, define the project scope, assumptions, risks, and overall project approach including project resource needs, timelines, and communications.
Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, action items, and status of all deliverables Assist in developing and occasionally preparing project budget, monitor expenditures throughout the project, and manage variances Consult with division and executive management to establish direction and ensure a clear understanding of the project.
Develop and implement communication, training, and change management plans for assigned projects.
Conduct follow up reviews to evaluate success and lessons learned.
Understand and participate in IT project governance.
Manage complex stakeholder, vendor, and team relationships Participate in the selection of vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure vendors meet contractual obligations Act as a resource across the corporation to provide project management best practices.
Act as an administrator and product support for enterprise wide project management tools Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle Manage the operational transition to ensure successful transition and on-going support for the product Report project status and work plan updates to keep IT management, sponsors, and executives apprised of major progress, issues, and risks Explore diverse perspectives and consistently behave sensitively toward differences in cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating.
Work effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or work styles.
Continually sustain the Inclusive Leadership Competencies (ILC) through the Explorer level on an annual basis.
The following qualifications are recommended: Five or more years of experience managing one or more complex IT projects with demonstrated experience managing project scope, timeline, budget, teams, and vendor relationships; and working with senior and executive management across the organization.
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field or Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Compensation & Benefits Typical hiring range: $109,348 - $128,645.
The pay range for this position is annually based on a full-time schedule.
Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications & education.
