Director of Human Resources

Under the general supervision of the President /CEO, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and overseeing the human resource functions and human capital of the organization.
The Director of Human Resources works collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and effectively implement the strategic goals of the organization and while ensuring legal compliance.
The Director of Human Resources complies with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures and actively supports Children’s Aid Society’s vision and mission.
The Director of Human Resources works collaboratively with the President/CEO or Designee, who provides support and vision for the human resource needs of the organization.
Work is delegated in terms of strategic organizational objectives.
The President/CEO or Designee will provide guidance in unusual situations which do not have clear precedents and on an as-needed basis.
The employee works independently, resolves problems on the basis of past precedent; exercises judgment in the interpreting guidelines and applicability; and ensures deadlines are met.
The employee plans and carries out various stages of a project by selecting and pursuing approved methods and techniques as appropriate.
Assignments are reviewed for quality and compliance with established policies and procedures and all applicable local, state and federal laws.
