Reports to: Plant Manager
Schedule: Monday through Friday 10:00 pm to 8:30 am
***This position will require the Production Supervisor to train during day shift for a couple of months prior to transitioning to overnight shift***
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Oversee the efficiency of the workflow of the production lines to meet customer order requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Establish production priorities and sequences
Train new employees and perform on-going training to help employees advance their skills
Assist Operators with set-ups
Assist Operators with improving set-up times and run speeds, and decrease waste
Check quality on every order, fill out quality sheets, initial top of every order – with help of Lead Operators
Ensure that finished product is being pulled from production lines and keep production line supplies stocked at all times
Monitor supply inventories and equipment condition and notify proper individuals when items need replaced or repaired
Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
Directly responsible for approving timecards, conducting performance evaluations, employee coaching, and discipline when necessary

SKILL AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
This position requires a high level of professionalism at all times while maintaining a collegial and effective relationship with employees and managers at all levels.
Bi-lingual and able to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish preferred.
SKILL AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Less than high school education with 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance if required.
