The Floating Processing Manager will be given short-term assignments at store locations within a given region to help fill in and assist the processing operations of the assigned store.
They will have the same roles and responsibilities as the Processing Manager of the store while they are on assignment.
This role includes sustaining and encouraging a positive environment, developing and training team members while they are helping fill in needs at the stores, performing all duties required to accept, sort, and price donated items, and employee interactions, as outlined in the essential functions of the job and in compliance with company policies, procedures and the mission statement.
Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB The Floating Manager will be expected to have the same role and responsibilities as the Processing Manager while on assignment and as necessary.
The essential functions of the Processing Manager are as follows.
Lead and equip team to reveal positive in every aspect of their job, to each other, donors, customers and volunteers.
To perform any of the required job duties within the processing team.
This includes all requirements related to accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.
Adhere and implement, daily, all donor service standards, policies and procedures.
Responsible for hiring and termination of all processing staff.
Work closely with the Team Services Hiring Manager to place the best people on the team.
Train and retain employees.
Properly execute necessary paperwork related to employees including document coaching opportunities, hiring paperwork, termination paperwork, worker’s compensation paperwork, etc.
Ensure that daily reports are properly filled out in a timely manner.
Must be able to appropriately set daily goals and plan their day according to projections/targets.
Review Cyfe Dashboard daily to understand and communicate targets to team.
Schedule staff appropriately to ensure team is well equipped for high volume days.
Maintain clean and well-organized reception, presort and processing areas.
Train processing staff and volunteers to maintain a clean and well-organized reception, presort, and processing areas.
Provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for processing staff to promote further professional development and growth within LifePath Thrift Stores.
Facilitate and promote an encouraging, positive and unified relationship between Processing and Retail Departments.
Work with and effectively communicate with the Retail Manager on a daily basis to ensure all the operational needs of the store are being met.
Stay up to date and well-informed with the ever-changing needs and procedures of the Wholesale Department.
Effectively communicate and gathers information from Wholesale Director to clarify any questions pertaining to changing policies.
Communicate efficiently and clearly with Director on daily needs and progress of the Processing team.
Recognize the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items reaching the sales floor.
Train and holds staff accountable for recognizing the value and appropriate pricing needs of items prior to those items reaching the sales floor.
Able to tell the LifePath Thrift Stores story and continually connects the dots for staff and customers.
In the event that an Associate Manager is on the team, the Processing Manager is responsible for developing and growing Associate into a viable Processing Manager candidate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have a commitment to LifePath Stores’ mission and mission statement.

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language.

Must be able to prioritize the needs of the store in an effective and efficient manner according to the standards set by the Director of Operations.
Must possess a demonstrable level of skill and proficiency in planning so as to meet established goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED required.
Two to three years experience in retail or related experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver’s license PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Stand 3/4 of the time Walk 3/4 of the time Sit 1/4 of the time Use hands to type – computer keyboard or register 3/4 of the time Use hands to handle documents and merchandise 3/4 of the time Talk or hear All Day Moderate physical activity.
Depending on location, this position may require frequent strenuous activity.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Use hands to lift, sort, clean, organize throughout a standard work day.
Depending on location, this position may work in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure throughout the workday.
Will have to wear a name badge.

Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS REQUIREMENTS Full time, Monday through Saturday, 43+ hours per week.
Some closing shifts are required as dictated by the needs of the stores.
Two (2) shifts a month must be a weekend closing shift as dictated by the needs of the stores.

Saturday shifts can’t be half days.
In order to effectively process payroll, department managers must work the opening shift on Payroll Monday, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Operations.
Attendance at specific meetings, off-site events or training, as required.
Some Sundays may be requested to work on a voluntary basis.
This position is a traveling position and will require the ability to change store locations as the organizational needs dictate.
Salary $16 - $18 per hour
