Location: The Plant is located in Hanover, PA.
It is on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg, PA, York, PA, and the Maryland border.
Position overview:
Reporting directly to the Plant Superintendent, the Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all aspects of the production operation and production efficiencies including coordinating and managing activities of equipment and the manufacturing team throughout the facility.
Duties And Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Manager responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Applies knowledge of various processes and production methods
Responsible for the line efficiency performance to meet plant committed efficiency to budget
Manages machinery setup and adjustment
Inspects products to ensure compliance to standards; oversees quality and recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance within the equipment limits
Communicates all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production obstacles or any other related information
Works with employees on identifying, discussing solutions, and implementing "fixes" on machinery and equipment problems
Responsible for ongoing PM&R E-Maintenance and equipment check program adherence
Analyze data on parts usage, tooling usage, raw material usage, etc.
to develop and implement process or preventative maintenance improvements
Performs and facilitates "on the job training" and/or coaching for team members
Performance Management responsibilities as needed for team members
Completes and/or administers documentation such as area or machine specific reports
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
*This position will be assigned to manage the 2 piece technology operations based on business needs.
Minimum Requirements
HSD/GED
5 -7 years working experience in a manufacturing setting
Must be available to work alternate work schedules as needed to provide additional support
Ability to travel 10% throughout North America
Preferred Requirements
5+ years of Management or Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's Degree
Packaging industry experience
Previous maintenance or engineering experience
Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing, 5S Experience
Working Conditions
Will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a plant environment as well as in an office
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
The noise level is frequently loud
