Nature & Scope:
Directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CNC department.
Manage the optimal utilization of equipment and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency to meet key performance objectives.
Directly responsible for developing a strategy to effectively train operational personnel and develop improved programming processes and to meet changing technological demands.
Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Prioritize safety as a core principle and ensure a safe work environment.
Staff, develop and retain value-adding personnel.
Assure quality workmanship from personnel with dimensional accuracy.
Assure parts and assemblies are manufactured according to specifications.
Document & report productivity and non-conforming records.
Assure daily and preventative maintenance activities to machines are conducted as prescribed.
Effectively enforce company policy and procedures.
Support and promote a continuous improvement culture based upon best-value to the customer.
Manage material and information flow through inter and intra-departmental value streams.
Work professionally and positively with all personnel to achieve a healthy and cohesive working relationship and environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Formal vocational/technical training or education
Skills and Experience
Previous leadership experience
8 years of experience in a CNC machining environment
5 years of experience with increasing supervisorial duties
Demonstrated experience using data analysis tools and software
Competent in Microsoft office software applications
