We have 2 Blue Australorp hens raised together that we want to re-home together.
Both hatched together and are 8-months-old.
They lay size medium light brown eggs and are a very quiet breed.
This is a rare Australorp color that can only be special ordered from a breeder or hatchery -- no farm stores sell this 'blue" color.
Also, this heritage breed can live up to 8 years.
Purchased online as chicks from a large reputable NPIP-certified hatchery in Texas.
They have been raised with 100% organic feed/grains since hatching.
We use "New Country Organics" feed -- soy-free, USDA organic.
We also feed them organic grains (cracked corn, millet, oats) from Azure Standard daily, in addition to greens -- see photos.
Both have gorgeous feathers and fluffy butts.
No health issues ever.
No vaxxines.
You should have an enclosed run no smaller than 10' x 20', or they will complain.
Their coop has an automatic door.
They currently exit at 6:45 am and go to bed at 8:15 pm on their own.
