Job Type: Full-time Reports to: Customer Service Team Lead Hours: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for all of the necessary functions to provide effective customer service.
Responsible for acting as a liaison between customer and internal departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Order Entry-take orders via phone and email; perform order entry; figure pricing; figure stick count for production; figure amount per carton/skid; figure truck space; figure number of labels needed; printing labels Handle shipping matters- seeking freight quotes; determining freight rates vs.
charges Prepare daily invoices-pull daily work; process invoices; fax/scan/mail invoices to customers; file paperwork; print daily invoicing report for Inside Sales Manager.
Expedite orders and respond to customer inquiries, as needed.
Handle other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Data Entry- interpret data in customer folder and inputting into computer systems; attention to detail and accuracy COMPETENCIES SHOULD INCLUDE: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Customer Management – Complete orders on time, use time efficiently.
Proven customer service experience Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Sees ways to improve and promote quality and customer satisfaction; Meet productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
Able to retain fundamental sales information to build knowledge base of industry and customers.
Follow instructions and respond to management direction.
Observe safety and security procedures.
Adapts well to changes in the work environment Works well with others.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: This position requires a high school education or GED equivalent, 2-4 years of related customer service experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
